WTF is a ‘demisexual’?
A demisexual is a flavor of sexuality. They aren’t willing to have sex until an emotional attachement is formed. It’s said to be in the middle of sexual and asexual, much like genderqueer is in the middle of masculine and feminine.
That’s not exactly unusual…many if not most people don’t have/like to have sex unless they have an emotional attachment with that person.
Why the label?

Wrong. Many demisexuals are willing to have sex without an emotional attachment, just like many gay people are willing to have sex with a member of the opposite sex. But the sex is had without sexual attraction. Happens all the time. Demisexuals do not experience sexual attraction towards people without an emotional attachment first. Whether or not the individual in question has sex with strangers, only friends, or no one at all, is BEHAVIOR, which is a different thing.
Basically, demisexuals are asexual until there is an emotional connection made with someone—and then we MIGHT be sexually attracted to that person. Keep in mind that there’s a difference between asexuality and celibacy, and there’s a difference between demisexuality and the ethical choice many people make.
