Sometimes I feel like I go to the bisexual tag just so I can block a bunch of porn blogs.

I notice the moment the gender aspect of it all fell away, slowly I started to peel back the layers of what you are “supposed” to have rules against and question them. I don’t know if I am polyamorous, I don’t know if age is no longer an obstacle for me, but I have made my mind and my heart more open. And I am better for it.

This is one of the best things about being queer! Many queer people start to question all sorts of relationship/identity taboos once they come to terms with being queer, and I think that’s beautiful.
So, Dan Savage has tried to free himself from accusations of being biphobic and evil by saying the only way science has proven bisexual men exist is by being biphobic and evil. He takes from this that it’s okay to preach about how some men use the label “bisexual” when they’re really gay, it’s okay to doubt men who identify as bisexual, and it’s okay to talk about how bisexuality in men is really rare and most bisexual men are lying.
Has anyone tried to point out to him that some bisexual men call themselves gay to be better accepted by gays like him? I once had a guy tell me he was bi, but had chosen a side, had chosen to only date men because he knew men wouldn’t go out with him if he called himself bi.
Has Dan Savage considered things like this?
Thing is, Joey, you’re queer. You’re a lesbian, or at the very least bisexual.

Because bisexuality isn’t as queer as lesbianism. Thanks.
I identify as queer, bi/pansexual, polyamorous, a cis-woman, a feminist, an agrarian communist, an atheist/biological determinist. I also identify as body and sex positive.
I’m a demi/bisexual polyamorous cis woman. I answer to queer happily. I’m very much a feminist, and I reblogged this from my girlfriend.

P.S. This is the first time I’ve used a real drawing from the website on Tumblr.
I won’t be able to celebrate Bisexuality Day like I normally do, thanks to work. I’m not out at work and yet I’m going to be here for 12 hours of the day today. Booo.
So, here’s to my bisexual (and pansexual and polysexual, etc.) buddies: You’re awesome and pretty and it’s great to be queer!*
To my non-bisexual buddies: Have you hugged a bisexual today?
*When privileged in certain other ways, of course.
I just realized that, not only do I not exist twice, I’m also a paradox (slut/prude)! This is fun.
I occasionally post about my writing here, but I wouldn’t dream of calling this a writing blog. If I and/or my writing interest you, please check it out! I’m tagging this with some of the themes in my writing, by the way, so that’s why this is in some non-writing tags.
A man who says he’s attracted to men and not women gets called a binarist asshole
Was just thinking this today.
What does this even mean?
It means, when a bisexual person says, “I’m attracted to men and women,” people jump on em and say, “Stop being a binarist asshole! What about the trans* people?” but if a person says, “I’m attracted to men and not to women,” no one says anything about supporting/encouraging the binary or ignoring trans* people.
It means we’re surrounded by biphobic jerks who lie and say they’re just thinking of the trans* people.
